UP Govt accepts Nimesh panel report on terror accused

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav claimed to have already taken into cognisance into recommendations made by Nimesh Commission and assured that Action Taken Report (ATR) will be put before the Floor of the House in the next session.

“My Government had already taken into cognisance of recommendations made by Nimesh Commission report and we will not put the ATR into the Floor of the House to clear all the doubts on the issue,” claimed Akhilesh Yadav while replying the media query over implementation of recommendations made by the Commission.

The Chief Minister was talking to the mediapersons soon after he held meeting of His Cabinet colleague here on Tuesday morning.

Fresh disclosure made by the Chief Minister himself now made fresh controversy for the Government which is already facing sharp criticism following it’s move to withdraw terror charges from over dozen suspected militants in the State.

The State Government already showed it’s soft-corner towards the two alleged key operatives of Harkat-ul-Jehade-Islami (HuJI) Khalid Mujahid (Died few days back) and Tariq Kashmi when they filed an application in the concerned court to withdraw charges on them. However, their move backfired when the court out rightly rejected their plea.

Nimesh Commission also proved the arrest of said two alleged HuJI militants particularly on the family member plea that charges framed on them were fabricated and that they were `innocent’.
