The proposed Monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh legislature would commence from the first week of August. This time, the sitting of legislative Council or Upper House will be held in Tilak Hall as the present House is under renovation.
This would be for the first time in the history of UP’s legislature that any House proceedings will take place in another place instead of its original venue. The decision to hold the meeting of Upper House at Tilak hall was taken during an all party meeting called by Council chairman in lucknow.
Sources said, “The renovation of the House will take around two more months to complete, hence there was a proposal to hold the Monsoon session at Tilak Hall by members.”
