The Bharatiya Janata Party created a din in the State Assembly on Tuesday over the issue of cow slaughter and did not allow proceedings of the House to continue over the comment of a Minister when he said BJP members are a part of cow slaughters’ gang.
“The comment of the Minister was inappropriate and he should apologies immediately,” leader of BJP legislature party Suresh Kumar Khanna said as other members of the BJP trooped inside the well of the House. Despite two adjournments the BJP stuck to its point forcing the Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey to rush through the agenda and adjourn the House for the day.
The issue of cow slaughter reached such a boiling point that at one point of time Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Khan asked the BJP members as why Union Government has failed to stop export of meat.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has talked about pink revolution during election campaign. The Government is almost 5 month old now. What happened to that promise,” he asked. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav too intervened to say that Central Government cannot ban slaughter of animals. If it does so what will happen to leather and pharmaceutical industries.
Agitated Khanna said, “The NDA Government will close all these slaughter houses and ban export of meat from India.”
