Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat is facing trouble as his Cabinet Ministers are not happy with the portfolios allotted to them. Five Cabinet Ministers did not attend the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday morning.

Sources said Cabinet Minister Indira Hridayesh left for Delhi to express her grievance before the party high command, while Amrita Rawat has already expressed her anguish before the Chief Minister.

Talking to The Pioneer, senior-most Cabinet Minister Hridayesh expressed displeasure with the portfolio distribution. Sensing adverse reactions, the Chief Minister admitted that some Ministers could not be given portfolios as per their talents.

Sources said that during lobbying against former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, Harish Rawat had assured Uttarakhand Cabinet Ministers that their stature will be upgraded if they support his candidature for the chief ministership.
