Taking a cue from best-selling author Chetan Bhagat who had called the “Aam Admi Party” (AAP) as “an item girl of politics”, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday mocked the fledgling party, by saying on Friday that even the “item girl” Rakhi Sawant could have governed a State better than the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP.
“When Sushilkumar Shinde called Kejriwal a mad man, he was only reflecting the mood of people against the Delhi CM and AAP. NCP leader DP Tripathi has said that it is not AAP but a SAP (snake). After having formed the Government with the support of a corrupt party like the Congress, Kejriwal is now speaking about moral values. The AAP’s act is nothing but pretense,” the Sena president stated.
Elated by the “praise” heaped on her by the Sena president, Rakhi Sawant said in replying to a query from a journalist: “What is wrong in aspiring to occupy some political officeIJ When Narendra Modi can become a Chief Minister after being a chaiwallah in his initial days, what is wrong if item girl Rakhi Sawant one day governs the countryIJ”.
