Days after a robbery incident inside a Delhi Metro station made headlines, two persons were held for allegedly trying to enter the Seelampur Metro station with a country-made pistol
and live bullets on Friday evening.
CISF officials detected a .315 bore country-made pistol and two rounds of ammunition in a bag during X-ray check. Then the CISF men intercepted the two men from Uttar Pradesh's Badayun district.
"Arms and ammunition are not allowed inside the Delhi Metro as per law. The duo was asked why these items were kept in their bag and upon getting no satisfactory answer, they were handed over to the Delhi Police," a senior official said.
