Two employees of ship building unit of Indian Navy at Visakhapatanam died after they were hit by a train in the wee hours of Monday, Railway Police said.

Deputy Superintendent of Railway Police at Visakhapatanam Venkat Rao said that the two were found dead in the morning at Pinagadi railway crossing in the outskirts of Visakhapatanam.

Abeesh T Shivan and Cherian K Josh, both from Kerala, had left on bike from latter’s residence in Katani Nagar near airport around midnight saying they were going for celebrations.

“Apparently they had this habit of going for night outs. They had also carried liquor bottles with them,” Venkat Rao said.Police believe that they were hit by a passenger or goods train around 1 am. “Nobody saw the accident as the area is deserted in the nights,” he said.

“The nature of injuries and the damage to their motorcycle shows that it was an accident and we don’t suspect any foul play,” Venkat Rao said. Post-mortem was completed at King George Hospital in Visakhapatanam and it shows that two had consumed liquor.

“We are sending the viscera for further forensic examination,” the DSP said. Abheesh’s brother Ajish was on his way to Visakhapatanam to take the body to Okkal in Kerala. Abheesh is survived by wife lekha and son Aryan.

Venkaiah also said, “Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh has been making statements without any authority. It is adding fuel to fire. The Congress should keep its house in order and convince its Chief Minister and Ministers first.”

As part of the election strategy, the Karnataka BJP has announced Narendra Modi would address a maha-rally in Bangalore on November 16. Modi is also expected to address few more rallies in a span of one month.

Meanwhile, a BJP source told The Pioneer that party was working-out a strategy to bring former Chief Minister and KJP chief BS Yeddyurappa back to the party fold at the Maha-rally. He said, “The issue of Yeddyurappa is coming for discussion on Tuesday at Mumbai meeting. Even Anantha Kumar group has no objection now. If everything goes well Yeddyurappa will be back to the party on Modi’s rally. RSS also cleared it.”Meanwhile a close aide of Yeddyurappa said that Yeddyurappa may be willing to go back to the BJP but may not merge his party immediately.
