Almost a week after the Sandeshkhali attack on the ED officials leaving three persons badly injured the Bengal Police on Thursday managed to arrest two persons, North 24 Parganas SP Joby Thomas said.
The two persons are Mehboob Molla and Sukomal Sardar the police said refusing to divulge whether they were connected to the alleged mastermind of last Friday’s attack Shahjehan Sheikh a local TMC toughie whose house the ED officials had gone to raid in connection with the ration scam.
Reacting to the Thursday’s arrest Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari said, “if the police arrests only two small fries one week after the attack where one thousand five people were involved then you can easily understand the credibility of the Bengal Police that works under Mamata Banerjee as the Police Minister.”
