Two-day orientation to make 1.5mn newbies 'BJP-worthy'

The BJP will start a two-day orientation programme from Wednesday for about 1.5 million party workers to train them according to party ideologies and educate them about national issues. Besides, the party will hold a training programme for about 250 senior party leaders who will act as trainers for the lower BJP cadre and new members.
BJP national president Amit Shah will be inaugurating the Mahaprashikshan Abhiyan and Trainers Training National Workshop, which is also being attended by national office bearers of the party. Five State representatives will train trainers and members of the all India training programme in their respective States. Similar workshops for the trainers will also be conducted.
There will be separate sessions in each State to highlight the specific socio-political aspects of that particular region. Besides, the central leadership will educate the workers on the achievements of the Central Government and the BJP-ruled States while highlighting “path-breaking initiatives” implemented by the Narendra Modi Government.
A team of experts, led by party general secretary Muralidhar Rao, has prepared the content, literature and scheme of training initiatives, which the BJP claims to be the biggest-ever in India. “Majority of people involved in the Mahaprasikshan Abhiyan will be newly- enrolled members. Importance is also being placed on including prominent citizens of the society at all levels and also sufficient representation of all sections of the society,” said Rao.
In this campaign the first segment to be covered is the mandal. BJP has nearly 11000 mandals in the country. The second stage is the district level camps followed by State level camps. Each camp will have a maximum of 150 people. The programme will involve living in the camp for the entire duration.
BJP leaders said all the camps in States will progress simultaneously and in the end there will be a national-level camp. The entire training programme is expected to be complete in four months.
