The decisions taken by ruling YSRCP and Opposition TDP, over triple talaq have now become hot topics in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Since the ruling YSRCP in AP has strongly opposed the Bill, and the TDP has maintained neutral stand by neither supporting not opposing the Bill, now the BJPs equations with the regional parties in AP are going to change, according to the political analysts. Both YSRCP and TDP are now busy studying the National political scenario, following the developments taken place at Centre.
Amaravati political corridors have been keenly watching the moves of both YSRCP and TDP, following the indications that TDP Chief Chandrababu has played a clever game, by 'being neutral' in Rajya Sabha over Talaq Bill. Citing the same, a senior TDP leader and former Minister said that now Naidu will exert all his pressures to become close to BJP again, since Jagan Mohan Reddy has thrown an open challenge to the ruling NDA at Centre, by not supporting the Triple Talaq, in Rajya Sabha. It may be noted that on December 31, last year, in the capacity of Chief Minister, Naidu has taken serious objection over BJP's attitude on Triple Talaq. Naidu said that the TDP has supported it until the level of talaq not valid. But criminalization of it is not correct. Separate law should not be made to target Muslims, Naidu has observed then as CM. " They should be treated under normal judicial process. We are asking to send the bill for select committee. After thorough discussion at select committee only decision should be taken. BJP is trying to change situation in its favour with the support of parties like AIADMK," Naidu has alleged then and interestingly, the TDP has taken neutral stand on Triple Talaq, during the voting in Rajya Sabha. " Four close associates of Naidu, who are members of Rajya Sabha, have already joined BJP and in this context, now Naidu can make a difference in the National politics", the former Minister observed, and added that the neutral stand of TDP over Triple Talaq in Rajya Sabha is only to suffocate the YSRCP leadership. Naidu wants to send a signal to YSRCP, that TDP is getting closer to BJP, he analyzed and added that with this indication the YSRCP will try to distance itself from BJP.
"The BJP is reportedly not happy with the YSRCP, since it has openly opposed Triple Talaq. Jagan Mohan Reddy himself advised his MPs to vote against Triple Talaq Bill, with which the BJP bosses are angry," the former Minister observed and added that YSRCP's aggression had certainly irked the BJP headquarters.
A BJP leader said that YSRCP has conveyed a message that it has taken anti-BJP stand, by opposing Triple Talaq. "Headquarters is watching everything," he observed. However, YSRCP has its own reasons for taking anti-BJP stand, as the Centre has not allocated enough funds for Amaravati and other important projects in AP. Apart from this BJP State President Kanna Lakshminarayana started targeting YSRCP very seriously, since the last few days, and his move is just an indication that BJP will play a vital role in the State, in the days to come.
More or less, BJP is playing musical chair game, by firing bullets on Jagan Mohan Reddy, from behind the shoulders of Naidu, which it has played vice-versa, before the general elections.
