In a bizarre incident of cannibalism reported in Gorakhpur, a tribal couple and an accomplice lynched their friend, took out his liver and ate it. The police has arrested one person on Friday. They also seized some pieces of the cooked liver and has sent it for examination.
According to the reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday night, when four labourers at a brick kiln field in Bhoga village of Gorakhpur clashed following a dispute during gambling on Wednesday evening. One Janak lohar, a native of Gumla, in Jharkhand, along with other two more labourers identified as Pawan and Sonu, killed Pappu. later Janak called his wife Radha and they took out the liver from the body of Pappu and Radha cooked it.
later the trio — Janak, Radha and Pawan ate some portion of the cooked liver and threw some of it.The police has arrested Pawan. While some pieces of the liver along with the sharp weapon by which the liver was extracted out of the body have been recovered. However, Janak, his wife Radha and Sonu are absconding.
