Strolling on the railway track after missing a train for Hyderabad proved fatal for a group of youths from Hapur when six of them were fatally crushed under the wheels of the engine while another was battling for his life on Sunday night.
After sending the bodies for autopsy, senior police officers said that the youths were very unfortunate as had they not missed their train for Hyderabad, they would not have died.
As per reports, 7 youths from Pilkhua (Hapur) were strolling down the tracks on Moradabad-Delhi train route and as they were passing through Gandhi railway crossing in Pilkhua, a railway engine heading to Delhi suddenly hit them from behind killing 6 on the spot and another injured.
