Traders threaten to launch 'Identify, Kill movement' against Rohingyas in Jammu

Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu is ready to take law in to their own hands in order to get rid of illegal immigrants from Myanmar (Rohingya Muslims) and Bangladesh.

On Friday President of the prominent traders body in Jammu demanded that these illegal immigrants be immediately deported from Jammu within a span of one month failing which chamber shall have no option but to launch “Identify and Kill Movement” against such criminals and drug traffickers.

This is for the first time a traders body has openly doled out a threat to launch ‘identify and kill movement’ making mockery of the law of the land.

Earlier, a Jammu based political party had erected king size hoardings warning these illegal settlers to ‘Quit Jammu.’

Meanwhile, President of the traders body also demanded cases under Public Safety Act (PSA) should be booked against those people on whose land these foreigners have constructed their temporary dwellings in and around Jammu.

The district administration too had recovered vital documents such as ration cards, Aadhaar cards and Voter ID cards from Rohingya muslims settled in Jammu during a surprise raid in March 2017.

Addressing a press conference here in Jammu CCI, President  Rakesh Gupta Friday said, “If the State/ Union Governments would failed to act against these illegal settlers Chamber shall have no option but to launch “Identify and Kill Movement” against such criminals.

Gupta said, “neither the Government of Jammu & Kashmir is signatory to any United Nation’s treaty nor Article 370  allows illegal Foreign settlers for any permanent settlement in the State”.

The Chamber surely is aware that the district administration has initiated process to identify such settlers and the Union Government has asked details about these settlers from the state, but the Chamber feels it is not enough till these foreigners are deported from the State of J&K.

He said Chamber feels that it shall be no offence to deal with such Criminals / Drug Traffickers who have illegally crossed into the State of J&K and it is high time that the people at large should also shoulder and share responsibility of the security forces and deal with them as the situation demands.

Gupta said, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry was the first to demand their deportation from the State of J&K as the Chamber is committed to protect the interests of the people at large in the State as a part of social corporate responsibility.
