In a stinging criticism of the Maharashtra Ministers “missing” from the State Secretariat and their consequent “failure” to attend to their work, the Opposition NCP on Thursday demanded the installation of bio-metric fingerprint and GPS tracking system in Mantralaya to register the attendance of Ministers concerned and also to track down their movements elsewhere.
Seeking to “expose” the “absolute lack” of performance on the part of the Ministers in the BJP-led saffron alliance Government, Maharashtra NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik alleged on Thursday that 17 out of 52 State Departments had not any decision ever since the Devendra Fadnavis Government assumed office.
“Despite a written directive given by CM Fadnavis to his Cabinet colleagues to remain present at the State Secretariat for at least two to three days in week, the ministers are always missing from Mantralaya. The Ministers are seen more at five-star hotels than at the State Secretariat,” Malik claimed.
According to Malik, Ministers like Chandrakant Patil, Prakash Mehta and Girish Bapat had not taken any decisions in the Ministries of Mining, Public Works and Food & Drug administration respectively.
