State BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya asked all party legislators and office-bearers to tour flood-ravaged villages and extend all possible help to the victims saying that this was the time when people needed help the most.
The announcement came a day after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed ministers to stay put in flood-affected villages and ensure proper distribution of relief material.
"The BJP is a political party which is committed to helping people. Our party workers are collecting food and clothes for distribution among flood victims. Party legislators should also join the campaign to ensure that people get help," Maurya stressed.
The BJP sent relief material for flood victims from its state headquarters on Wednesday which was flagged off by state chief Keshav Maurya. "Every day we will be sending relief material to different destinations. Relief material contains pulses, flour, rice, salt, biscuit, match box, ORS powder and medicines," he informed.
