Hours after his miraculous survival in a road accident international president of right-wing organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Pravin Togadia held a Press conference and raised question over his security on Wednesday.
Togadia’s bullet proof vehicle met with an accident on Wednesday morning near Kamrej area of Surat. According to sources a speeding truck hit his car from behind and drags it over some distance.
Talking to media persons the VHP leader said that generally when a vehicle met up with , the driver immediately stop his vehicle by applying brakes.”However, in this case even after hitting the car from rear side the truck driver kept on driving and dragged my vehicle for few feet. He stopped speeding truck only when the car hit the divider and struck there,” said Togadia hinting that it was an attempt to kill him.
Normally he prefers to travel in a pilot car and two escort vehicles accompany him–one remains behind and another besides the pilot vehicle. Unluckily both escort vehicles were not there when the accident took place.
“There must be some incomplete instructions from local administration as only one car provided to me. Such mistake never happened. My concern is who gave such incomplete order and why,” said Togadia, adding that the incident only proved that even in Z+ security one is not safe.
It is worth mentioning that few days back Togadia raised concern over his murder. He had gone missing from Ahmedabad on January 15 this year, after receiving an anonymous call informing him that a team of police personnel from Rajasthan was in the city to arrest him. Even then, he had expressed apprehension that he would be killed in a fake encounter. later on he found on the outskirts of Ahmedabad in semi-conscious condition.
