In what the Opposition parties called a definite provocation by TMC leaders to ignite a mass confrontation after the arrest of Partha Chatterjee and Anubrata Mondal, senior Trinamool Congress leaders asked party men to go for "Badla" should the Opposition take out rallies.
Senior party NP Saugato Roy said, "If the BJP and Left continues with mischievous campaigns then shoes will be made out of their peeled of skins "
Another senior parliamentarian Kalyan Banerjee publicly wanted Badla while his party MLA Asit Banerjee said, "the opposition will be beaten in public". Yet others prescribed "ganja case" (anti narcotic cases) against the opposition workers.
