launching a counter attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling the Bengal Government an conglomeration of syndicates that was looting the State throttling democracy, the Trinamool Congress said no party knew the syndicate culture better than the BJP which was a syndicate of killers and religious fanatics.

A joint statement from the TMC MP Derek O’Brien and party General Secretary Partho Chatterjee said: “None knows syndicates better than the BJP leaders because your party is a syndicate for religious fanatics that runs lynching syndicates.”

The TMC leaders said, “Your party (BJP) is a torture syndicate, a syndicate for agencies, a syndicate that peddles religious extremism, a syndicate of corruption that created the notebandi,” warning the saffron outfit in a typical Mamata Banerjee language not to play with fire. “So don’t play with fire,” the TMC said

The TMC leaders said, “Try as much as you can to harass with your agencies (read CBI and ED) but we will never bow down before the syndicate of agencies,” adding the saffron leaders’ tricks would not work in Bengal which was the cultural capital of the world.

Attacking Modi for spreading “misinformation” on farmers’ suicide Chatterjee said, “In comparison to the farmers committing suicide in BJP ruled States Bengal’s figure is zero,” adding the crowd that had assembled at Midnapore was mostly imported from other States. Faces from Patna were also spotted in Modi’s recent rallies in States like Odisha, Jharkhand, the TMC leaders said.

On Modi’s challenge for the 2019 general elections, the Trinamool leaders said the stage was set for Mamata Banerjee who would firm up a huge coalition of Opposition parties that will finally bring about the downfall of the BJP Government.
