Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday said, “This is a moment of grief and loss not only for the State but for nation as a whole. We need to stand united in this sorrowful moment, instead of blaming each other.”

“Several political leaders, party workers and civilians of Chhattisgarh, who all believed in peace and democratic values, have lost their valuable lives to the dastardly attack of Naxalites. We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. It’s time to compose each other in these difficult times, and deal with the major issue of Naxalism with unity and patience”, he added.

Mentioning the ferocious Naxal-attack that took place on May 25 evening at Darbha area of Bastar district, Chief Minister further said, “The only aim of naxalites behind such cowardly act is to spread terror and demolish the democratic values. But if we the peace-loving members of society loose our patience and our biggest strength of unity, it will

only help the naxalites to achieve their malicious

intentions”.

He appealed that “all 2.55 crore people of the State should stand united through these difficult times, setting aside their personal ideological differences. This unity will prove to be the biggest strength in uprooting naxalism from the land of Chhattisgarh”.

Raman Singh said that decision has been taken to order judicial probe into the case of brutal Naxal attack that took place on May 25

at Darbha area of Bastar

district.  Singh added that he has requested Chief Justice of Supreme Court to entrust a High Court Judge with the responsibility to carryout judicial probe in the case. Notification of judicial probe will be released as soon as the recommendation from Chief Justice of Supreme Court is received.

Raman Singh asserted that those found guilty in the judicial probe of the case will face strict legal action.
