TIHAR INMATE GIVING SLEEPLESS NIGHTS TO NCP LEADERS: MODI

Published on:

Targetting Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar for the second time in three days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday night that “big NCP leaders” were not getting sleep these days because of the “fear” that a person lodged currently in Delhi’s Tihar Jail might make shocking disclosures about them.

Addressing an election rally at Gondia in eastern Maharashtra, Modi sought to unnerve “big NCP leaders” by claiming that “some shocking disclosures” were in store for them when the man lodged in Tihar jail spilled beans in the near future.

“I do not want to go into the full details....But I would advise you ( the people in the crowd)  to go and ask big NCP leaders if they are getting sleep these days... No they are not getting sleep. Their sleep is now lying in Tihar jail. Fear is stalking them. They are worried what will happen to them if the man who has been arrested and  lodged in Tihar jail spills beans. Today, they are very much worried....But the not be far off when the whole thing (relating to the NCP leaders) will come into the open,” Modi said.

Modi charged that the Congress was trying to create instability in the country by creating confusion in the minds of the people.  “This is their habit....Either  they control fully or create confusion... Earlier the  Congress had problems with   chaiwalla and now with it is with chowkidar.

Terming the Congress’ manifesto as dhakosla patra (hypocritical document), Modi said, “The manifesto promises to repeal sedition law. The congress has promised in its manifesto that it would not launch proceedings against Maoist indulging in anti-national activities. Congress and NCP sympathise with “Bharat tukde tukde honge” gang... Through this promise to repeal sedition law, they are insulting sacrifices of thousands of our soldiers”

“The Congress’ manifesto is a plan of Pakistan’s conspiracies. It is a conspiracy to destroy the confidence of the Indian army and it is a conspiracy hatched b Bharat ka tukde tukde honge gang. You have tobe cautious about Mahamilavat opposition otherwise it will give do such things that will give fillip to the naxal movement in the area. At a time when we were trying to prosecute urban Maoists, the Congress and NCP leaders stood by these Urban Maoists,” Modi said.

Modi demanded to know if Sharad Pawar agreed with the Congress’ manifesto. “Sharad Pawar should come clean on this,” the PM said.
