Nalgonda town in Telangana was in shock over the killing of a local teenager in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Ramaraju Sandesh, 19, was shot dead allegedly by his two friends in Noida where he was studying BSc Marine Science at the Amity University.
On being informed by the authorities of private university about the incident, his father Sundar Rao and other relatives rushed to Noida on Sunday.
Police suspect that rivalry over a girl led to the shooting incident.
Sandesh was a resident of Srinagar colony of Nalgonda district. A pall of gloom descended on the locality over the death of the local lad and a large number of relatives and friends have gathered at his residence.
Relatives said that his body will be brought to Nalgonda for cremation.
