Telugu Desam Party ranks in Telangana further depleted on Sunday with one more party MlA deserting it and joining the ruling TRS. Ch Dharma Reddy from Parkal constituency in Warangal district on Sunday formally joined the TRS in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

He is third TDP MlA to join the TRS in the recent months. Earlier, two TDP MlAs from Hyderabad T Krishna Reddy and T Srinivas Yadav had also quit the party and joined the TRS.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister called upon all the political leaders of Telangana to rise above political affiliations to achieve the dream of “Golden Telangana”. KCR said that his Government was fulfilling each and every election promise and the goal of “Swarna Telangana” can be achieved only with the cooperation of all the people.

“Every leader should rise above political and personal interest to work for the State”, he said. “That is why Dharma Reddy and his supporters have decided to join the TRS and work for ‘Golden Telangana,” he said. Dharma Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the power crisis in the State.
