The Lucknow Special CBI Court acquitting all the 32 accused in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case has shattered  the confidence and trust the citizen has over the judiciary, according to Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaat leader B Abdul Rehman.

He was addressing thousands of activists of the Thowheed Jamaat who had assembled in Chennai city to express their resentment and protest over Wednesday’s Court verdict that set free top BJP leaders including L K Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti.

“The Babri Masjid demolition case was not judged by law. The court acquitted all the accused and said that the culprits did not plan or conspire before the demolition of the Babri Masjid. This is the biggest blow to democratic system of India. This has shattered confidence in the courts,” he said.

Rehman said that the whole world is watching how Indian courts were acting against minorities in India. “The Babri Masjid demolition case and the ownership case verdicts are examples of unjust verdict of the Indian judiciary,” he said.

Thousands took part in the rally raising slogans against the court verdict. The Thowheed Jamaat has organised a State-wide protest on Friday against the court order which would of much bigger magnitude, said Rehman.
