BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has launched a sustained attack on RJD chief lalu Prasad and his family with series of allegations of corruption being brought up almost every day. Starting from soil scam, Modi came out with charges that the family has become owner of lands valued at several hundred crores of rupees.
The latest allegations is that lalu’s kin were favoured by Iceberg Industries Pvt ltd and A K Infosystem Pvt ltd of Amit and Om Prakash Katyal, who had established a liquor factory in Bihta when Rabri Devi was Chief Minister. Modi said lalu’s sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and daughters Chanda and Ragni were made directors on September 28, 2006.
“Amit Katyal transferred his 4,000 shares to Rabri Devi and 1,500 shares to Tejashwi in 2014 and the A K Infosystem is now fully owned by lalu family. Now there are only two directors Chanda and Ragni and 100 per cent shares are with Rabri and Tejashwi. This company has lands worth crores of rupees in Patna and its ownership is with lalu family,” he alleged.
Modi said Katyal brothers did that favour to lalu family in return of allowing them to establish a liquor factory.
The new allegations is apart from the previous charge that Delight Marketing transferred 2 acres of land worth Rs200 crore to lalu family in lieu of leasing out railway hotels in Ranchi and Puri to Kochhar brothers.
He asked, “Why Katyal brothers nominated lalu’s kin as directors and why they transferred all their shares to Rabri and TejashwiIJ Katyal brothers had no blood relations with lalu. Still they purchased lands and handed them to lalu family.”
Showing the papers of Delight company, Modi said in the list of the directors name lalu’s daughter Chanda is mentioned and what is more surprising that her address is shown as CM House, 1, Anne Marg even while she was made director in January 2014. Modi asked, “When lalu family left the CM House in 2005, how come Chanda claimed that house as her address. Her appointment was endorsed by Tejashwi and Tej Pratap, both directors, on September 29, 2014.”
He wanted to know from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar what action should be initiated for misusing the address of the CM House by the persons who were not living there.
Modi dared lalu to deny the allegations he made and file defamation suit against him. He said Nitish was scared of taking any action since it would break the alliance and the Government would fell.
