An engineering student, who had failed in 18 papers in first two years of his course committed suicide by jumping off 3rd floor of his college.
21-year-old K Bala Venkata Chaitanya ended his live when his father came to the college to inquire about the reasons for his poor performance.
Even as the father, a special branch constable Srinivas was talking to the staff in the administrative office Chaitanya slipped out of the office and jumped from the third floor. He was rushed to a near by hospital but succumbed to injuries.
On hearing that his son had jumped from the building Srinivas collapsed in the office.
The incident occurred at Sri Indu Engineering College at Ibrahimpatnam near Hyderabad.
After post-mortem the police handed over the body to the family.
