The same exam will be held across Bihar from March 11. This time the Bihar Government claims to have taken `strict decisions’ and the Education Minister Ashok Chaudhary said conducting this exam in free, fair and peaceful manner is not only a big challenge but also a matter of pride for Bihar.

Altogether 27.70 lakh students will appear in two exams, Intermediate and Matriculation, both to be conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board. The challenge to State government and particularly the education department starts from February 24 when the Intermediate examination will commence at which 11.60 lakh candidates will appear. When this will conclude, the Matriculation examination will start from March 11 involving 16.10 lakh examinees.

last year after the photographs of the cheating in Matriculation examination appeared from State, the then Education Minister had almost surrendered, saying it was not practically possible for the State Government to fully stop it and sought the cooperation of the parents.
