Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that the statement on reservations by the RSS seems to have damaged the electoral prospects of the BJP in Bihar Assembly elections.

The controversial statement provided a convenient tool to the Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance to beat the BJP and they are exploiting reservation issue to the hilt in their favour and even their sworn enemies have joined hands with the secular alliance.

“The BJP was poised to win the Assembly elections in Bihar, people of Bihar for the lack of development during the Nitish Kumar regime favour change of guard at Patna. The BJP has created a very positive atmosphere in its favour as if it is all set to win the elections, the statement against the reservations by the RSS seems to have thrown spanner,” said Mulayam Singh Yadav here on Monday while addressing the 49th death anniversary of the socialist ideologue Ram Manohar lohia.

Without naming the RSS chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav said, “the anti-reservation statement by the RSS has provided a convenient handle to Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance to attack the BJP.”
