Demanding immediate dismissal of the Akhilesh Yadav Government, BJP State chief laxmi Kant Bajpai said that the Supreme Court’s intervention in appointing a lokayukta is a clear indicator of the constitutional breakdown in UP and thus the present CM has no right to continue in office.
“The Supreme Court and High Court have been giving directions to the UP Government to appoint lokayukta for the last one year. But the dilly-dallying by the State Government has taken the State to such a crossroad where the Apex Court was forced to exercise its power and appoint the Ombudsman,” Bajpai said in a statement issued in lucknow on Wednesday.
Stressing that there was complete Constitutional breakdown in the State, the BJP chief charged that the SP Government is not committed to implementing the law because of its vested interest. “Hence, it is the right time that the Governor should dismiss this Government,” he demanded.
