Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday was briefly admitted to Nanavati Hospital, after he sustained “minor injuries” while shooting for a film at a five-star hotel in north-west Mumbai.
The mishap took place in the morning when 48-year-old Shah Rukh was shooting for the Farah Khan-directed ‘Happy New Year’, a film co-starring Deepika Padukone, at JW Marriott Hotel at Juhu, overlooking the Arabian Sea.
Sources in the film production unit said that a hotel door crashed on Shah Rukh, when he was in the midst of the shooting. The actor sustained minor injuries and was taken to the nearby Nanavati Hospital.
In a statement released to the media, the actor’s team stated: “Mr Khan had a minor accident on the sets while shooting. He has a minor injury and has got the necessary medical aid. Mr Khan is absolutely fine now. Thank you for all your wishes!”
