Spurious liquor claimed the lives of four people in the trans-Ganga area of Phulpur on Friday while the condition of three was stated to be critical.
According to reports, the victims had consumed the spurious liquor at a country liquor shop in Amilahvan village.
Officials have rushed to the spot and liquor contractor Rambabu Jaiswal has been taken into custody.
