The Directorate of Education (DoE) will organize a special parents teacher meeting (PTM), aiming to share the academic plan and well being tips for their wards with parents, Delhi Government said on Monday - the first day of PTM organized in more than 1,000 Government schools.
Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said education of children will continue despite school being closed, every child should get emotional support and our teachers and parents can take shared responsibility and appealed to every parent whose child is studying in Delhi government school.
As per the direction of the DoE, Delhi Government, PTM is being organized in small groups spread over two weeks.
In the meeting teachers explained to the parents about the importance of establishing emotional connections with their children particularly in difficult times so that children will remain mentally fit and participate actively in online academic sessions. Teachers also shared the new evaluation policy of CBSE with the parents of the students studying in class 10th and 12th. Through this special PTM, parents will get help in understanding the action plan being prepared for the students in the academic session 2021-22.
Along with special PTMs, joint PTM for class 6 is also being organized in Delhi Government schools.This joint PTM is being organized for the students transitioning to class 6 from MCD schools to Delhi Government schools. The teacher teaching in class 5 of MCD schools also participated in the combined PTM conducted for class 6, as they have known the children for the last 5 years.
The PTM will be conducted in morning shift schools from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The PTM timings for evening shift schools will be from 2 PM to 6 PM.
