The candidature of SP candidate Jaswant Singh Yadav for the Legislative Council from Aligarh-Hathras was rejected.

After the objection to the name of the proposers in the nomination paper, he could not present the third proposer. Although the lawyers presented all the arguments, strongly defending them, but in the presence of observer Rajendra Pratap, District Election Officer and DM Selva Kumari J rejected the nomination papers of the SP candidate.

The time for withdrawal of nomination papers was fixed on Thursday, after which BJP candidate Ch. Rishipal Singh was announced the unopposed MLC. But there is great resentment among the SP workers regarding this decision.

BJP candidate for Legislative Council from Aligarh-Hathras local body, Ch. Rishipal Singh and SP candidate Jaswant Singh Yadav had filed their nominations. During the scrutiny of nomination papers, BJP candidate Ch. Rishipal Singh, through his lawyer, objected to the names of three proposers Sarbati Devi, Guddi Devi and Pramod Kumar out of ten proposers of SP candidate Jaswant Singh Yadav.

It is alleged that the signatures and thumb impressions of the three proposers are not theirs.

These are fake. On this, DM and District Election Officer Selva Kumari J gave notice to SP candidate Jaswant Singh Yadav and asked him to file a reply to the objection. On this, the SP candidate presented Sarbati Devi and Guddi and got their statement, signature and thumb impression matched, but fail to present the third proposer Pramod Kumar son Badan Singh resident Sarai Mahamai, Sikandrau, Hathras.

The DM had given permission to the SP candidate after talks with observer Rajendra Pratap and the Election Commission.

SP candidate Jaswant Singh Yadav was given time till Wednesday to present the third proposer.

Only advocate Yaduveer Singh Yadav reached on behalf of the SP candidate. Presenting his arguments before RO and DM Selva Kumari J, he demanded not to reject the nomination. If the proposer did not reach on time. Even after this, DM rejected the nomination papers after SP candidate Jaswant Singh and proposer Pramod Kumar did not reach. On the other hand, all the officials and workers associated with SP were also not present in the collectorate. There were various discussions about this as well. A large number of police forces were deployed in the collectorate during the enrollment. The force of many police stations including SP Crime Rajni, SP Traffic Mukesh Kumar Uttam, ASP Puneet Dwivedi, CO 1st Raghavendra Singh, Civil Lines Shwetabh Pandey, Charra Vishal Chaudhary were present.

After the cancellation of the nomination of SP candidate Jaswant Singh Yadav, the BJP members present in the collectorate jumped with joy. They started raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram. During this, they welcomed BJP candidate Chaudhary Rishipal Singh with flower garlands.

Yaduveer Singh Yadav, Advocate, SP candidate told that the officials have rejected the nomination of the SP candidate without any valid reason under political pressure. The objection filed by the BJP is not justified. The objection can be considered correct only if the proposer himself appears and says that he does not have his signature on the nomination. Third party cannot file objection in this. Two proposers were also presented, yet the nomination has been rejected without any concrete reason.

Rakesh Kumar Patel, Deputy District Election Officer and ADM City told that an objection was lodged before the RO regarding the fake signatures of the proposers, which has been found correct in the investigation. Considering this to be correct, the RO rejected the nomination of the SP candidate.

Objections were raised against three out of the ten proposers of the SP candidate. One of the proposers Pramod Kumar could not reach on the scheduled time. After this, the District Election Officer has rejected the nomination paper after observing and examining the RP Act 36 and attached forms and hearing.
