SP misused Govt machinery: BJP

Published on:

Rattled by the humiliating defeat, the State unit of the BJP has blamed the Samajwadi Party for misuse of official machinery that led to party’s debacle in the just concluded by-elections.

“The Samajwadi Party Government has misused officers in the elections. In Moradabad, outsiders were allowed to enter polling booth. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should answer who is that man. If he is not a voter what he was doing in the polling booth,” asks BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak in a statement issued here on Wednesday.

He said that the Government machinery was blatantly misused by the Samajwadi Party in this elections. The officers were also put on notice. They were told that if the SP does not win elections they would be punished. The threat worked and officers worked as SP workers in this election,” Pathak said.

He appealed to party workers not to lose heart and be in touch with the people of their areas. Victory and loss are two sides of the same coin. If we lost this time, we will win in next elections, he said.
