Asking people to bring the BJP back to power in the State, BJP president Amit Shah said that the regimes of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party were responsible for the exodus of youth from eastern UP as they did nothing for the development of the area.
“Time has come for these parties to clearly say what they have done for eastern UP. The party of ‘chacha-bhatija’ is busy in the family feud while Mayawati has looted the State exchequer in the name of Dalit uplift. left with no other viable alternative to earn their livelihood, young people have left their village homes,” Shah said while addressing Parivartan Rally in Azamgarh on Thursday.
The BJP chief said that if the people of Azamgarh make up their minds to oust the Samajwadi Party, then half of the problem of eastern UP will be solved. Incidentally, Azamgarh is the parliamentary constituency of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Talking about demonetisation of high value notes, the BJP chief said that the decision has set a deluge in favour of the party forcing the Opposition leaders to unite.
“The demonetisation drive has created a ‘aandhi’ in favour of the BJP. While the poor are applauding it, the corrupt are looking for cover,” he said adding: “The Opposition parties who used to criticise each other are now united against Modi just to save their skin.”
“People want to know from these Opposition leaders as to why they are so worried when they themselves claim that corruption, terrorism and black money should be weeded out of the society,” Shah asked.
