SP blames UPA's faulty policies for economic crisis

Blaming the faulty policies of UPA Government for present economic mess, the Samajwadi Party said that the damage to the economy can not be undone because the Union Government does not have the political will to bring the economy back on the track.

‘’The economic situation in the country is bad and the Government is yet to take any step to counter it,’’ said SP general secretary and spokesperson Ram Gopal Yadav here on Monday. Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a function Yadav did not give his reaction on the hike in the prices of petroleum products but said where we are today is because of the wrong economic policies of the UPA-II Government. “The weak rupee is due to large scale import while export is decreasing. Rising import and decreasing export is a danger signal,” he said.

To a query on the reports of withdrawal of DA cases against Mulayam Singh Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the SP leader said the CBI has not registered any case against them and only a preliminary investigation was ordered by the court.
