DG Vanzara, suspended Gujarat cadre IPS officer and one of the accused in Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter underwent angiography on Saturday.
Vanzara, who has been in prison in connection with the case complained about chest pain on Friday night. The jail authority took him to a public hospital. The 1987 batch IPS officer was famous as an encounter specialist from his days as the head of Crime Branch.
Vanzara was arrested in April 2007 by the Gujarat Crime Investigation Department (CID).
