As the Modi Government at the Centre performed well on all fronts in the last three years, India is set for some big changes, claimed Union Minister of State for law and Justice Ravi Shanker Prasad at Ahmedabad on Friday .
Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision of demonetisation, Prasad said that within a very short time post demonetisation, the size of ‘digital economy’ augmented considerably. Former Congress Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi used to say that only 15 paisa out of a rupee allocated to poor people reaches them, but due to Digital India initiative of the Modi Government even a single rupee directly reaches the last man in queue, he added.
“BJP does not need certificate from Opposition parties over its Government’s performance. Already reputed credit rating agencies, United Nations and institutions like International Monetary Fund appreciated Modi Government and predicted high growth rate for India in the coming days, he said, adding that due to structured reforms investment, tax payment and income increased under a Government that is functioning without a single charge of corruption.
Addressing a press conference, the Minister came down heavily on Opposition parties attempt to form grand alliance or Maha-Gathbandhan and termed it as alliance of fear as most of the leaders in it are suspects in some or other corruption cases.
He also questioned silence of the three strong woman — part of the grand alliance — Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Benerjee and Mayavati over triple tallaq issue. Because of vote bank politics they have gone into silence mode, he claimed.
