The Union Territory administration in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the mysterious deaths of 14 members belonging to three families in the Badhaal area of Rajouri.
The SIT was formed immediately after Health Minister Sakina Masood clarified that these deaths were not caused by any mysterious disease, as tests conducted both within and outside the Union Territory have returned negative results.
According to an official order, the SIT will be led by Superintendent of Police (Operations), Budhal, Wajahat Hussain.
The team includes the Deputy Superintendent of Police Kandi, Station House Officers of Police Station Kandi and Women’s Police Station Rajouri, along with officials and experts from forensic medicine, toxicology, microbiology, pediatrics, and pathology departments.
