Shubham Dwivedi’s wife thanks PM Modi for retaliation

Aishwarya Dwivedi, wife of martyr Shubham Dwivedi, who was killed in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, has expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the Indian Army’s powerful retaliatory airstrikes on nine terror camps across the border in Pakistan as part of Operation Sindoor.

In an emotional statement, Aishwarya said, “I am deeply thankful to Prime Minister Modi. He has avenged the death of my husband. The way Pakistan has been given a decisive response has restored our faith in the leadership. This act is a true tribute to my husband’s sacrifice.”

Fighting back tears, she added, “My husband’s death has been avenged. Operation Sindoor has brought peace to my heart.” Shubham’s father, Sanjay Dwivedi, shared the family’s emotional relief: “The government has destroyed those who wiped away my daughter-in-law’s sindoor. We feel a sense of closure. The Indian Army’s response has brought peace to our grieving family. The pain in our hearts has been soothed; our soldiers have cooled the fire of revenge.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Shubham’s uncle, Manoj Dwivedi, said, “Ever since our son was martyred, our hearts had been burning. Today, the Indian Army has brought us peace.”

The Indian Army’s overnight operation targeted multiple terror hideouts in Pakistan in response to the deadly Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, including Shubham Dwivedi. The coordinated airstrikes have been hailed as a bold and decisive action by the armed forces. Referring to the symbolic name of the operation, Aishwarya remarked, “For those wives who saw their sindoor wiped away before their eyes, Operation Sindoor has taken revenge. The government has shown that they stand with us. I had said before that the army would take revenge — and they have.”

Calling for official recognition, she added, “Shubham and all those who were killed in the Pahalgam attack should be given martyr status. Terrorism must be eliminated. If not, homes across the nation will continue to suffer like ours. Then what kind of Hindu nation will remain?” Across Kanpur and other parts of Uttar Pradesh, public sentiment has turned into a wave of national pride. Citizens came out onto the streets chanting slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Indian Army Zindabad,” expressing support for the army’s swift and strong action. Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana also visited the Dwivedi household to offer his condolences and update the family about the government’s action. “The killing of 26 innocent people was an act of cowardice. Our brave soldiers have destroyed their bases and delivered justice,” Mahana said during his visit.

In a poignant moment, when Mahana attempted to touch Aishwarya’s feet out of respect, she stopped him and instead asked for his blessings. Speaker Mahana had previously paid tribute to Shubham Dwivedi at his Kanpur residence on April 22. The Dwivedi family’s grief remains, but Operation Sindoor has brought them a measure of solace — a powerful reminder of the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
