The war of words between senior BJP functionary Sushil Kumar Modi and lalu Prasad is getting intensified with RJD supremo’s son and daughter also taking on the BJP and the new entrant in this verbal duel is BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha. The Shotgun has fired salvos at his party colleague and former Deputy CM.
While it had been going on unabated between lalu and Modi with both hurling allegations at each other, the entry of others has added more colour to the war of nerves.
Reacting to raids on his alleged premises by the Income Tax Department last Tuesday in Delhi and NCR, lalu asked to identify the places and then shot back, “Raid, raid, raid.....at which places raids were made. I will raid the BJP in 2019.”
His daughter and Rajya Sabha member Misa Bharti made a sarcastic remark on BJP. “From where did the BJP men learnt the lessons of anti-nationalism and flesh tradeIJ” she asked referring to the arrest of some BJP functionaries in Madhya Pradesh caught for links with the ISI and sex
racket.
Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha, who is known for having strong feelings against some Bihar BJP leaders, on Monday tweeted, “Enough of negative politics & mudslinging by opponents on our political leaders, be it Kejriwal, lalu Prasad Yadav or Sushil Modi. High time to substantiate your claims... or pack up! Can't just keep feeding media with one night stories & sensationalising. Enough is enough.”
The five term MP and former Union Minister said, “ BJP surely believes in honesty & transparency, which seldom go together, but must go together. An allegation is only that unless proved.”
The cine star is also known for his closeness to lalu, Nitish Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal who are at the target of BJP. Re-tweeting on Sinha’s tweet, lalu’s son and Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav commented, “If he calls you ‘Shatru’ (enemy) how come he is ‘Sushil’ (decent). He has problems with elected people like you and Kirti Azad in BJP. This Bihar BJP leader has expertise in telling all kinds of lies. He is a victim of selective amnesia and myopia.”
Sushil Modi did not spare time in attacking Sinha. He tweeted, “It is not necessary that a famous personality should be trusted. The gaddars (deceivers) should be thrown out as soon as possible.” He further attacked, “Even as Nitish did not dare to defend lalu on his benami assets, BJP’s ‘Shatru’ has jumped to defend him."
Needless to say that Sinha's critical tweets were welcomed by RJD and JD(U) leaders.
