Seven days after he had disclosed that he had tested positive for Covid-19, NCP chief (NCP) Sharad Pawar announced on Monday that he had recovered from the pandemic. “My Covid-19 RT-PCR is Negative today. I am grateful to my Doctors, Friends, Colleagues and Well wishers for all the prayers and wishes for my speedy recovery,” Pawar tweeted.
It may be recalled that on January 24, Pawar had gone into home quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19. He had also gone onto cancel all his programmes for the following seven days. The NCP chief spokesperson Nawab Malik had announced that if Pawar tested negative, he would re-schedule all his cancelled programmes. Among others, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called Pawar on January 24 to enquire about his health. “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji called to enquire about my health. I am thankful for his concern and good wishes,” the NCP had tweeted.
