Shah to launch BJP's Vistar Yojana from West Bengal

Published on:

BJP president Amit Shah would on Tuesday launch from West Bengal’s Naxalbari region a major drive to strengthen the party organisation across the country at the booth levels  involving  3,68,000 party workers  who would be devoting 15 days  outside their respective work area.

Besides West Bengal, Shah will also be embarking on a  visit to Telangana, lakshadweep, Gujarat and Odisha for expanding and strengthening the  party at booth level under the ‘Deen Dayal Vistar Yojana’.

The decision to choose West Bengal as the starting point for the programme has been taken as the State figures in the list  of the ‘Seemavarti States’  where it seeks to rapidly expand its vote base and ‘Booth Vistar’, “ according to BJP leaders Bhupendra Yadav and Smriti Irani.

The BJP has decided to focus on West Bengal ,

Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and  Kerala  under  its  “special strategy”  plan.

Shah would initiate the  programme from booth number 93 at  Naxalbari in Siliguri, famous for the ‘Red rebellion’.  The party chief would  seek to  reach out to the people in West Bengal  with the message of ‘Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas’”, the ubiquitous slogan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to the party.

The plan involves 3,68,000 party workers devoting full 15 days outside their work place and contributing  to consolidation of the organisation at booth levels all over the country. In 15 days, workers and leaders would interact with a range of  people including prominent personalities from Panchayat to other levels.

The programme in the birth centenary year of party ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyay would continue for one year when besides Updadhyay’s ideas the BJP workers would also communicate  in “each state, each district, each Tehsil , each village and each home” the party and Modi-Government’s “pro-poor”  welfare schemes.

Around 4,000 BJP  workers have also  decided to give six months to one year’s time to strengthen the party at the booth levels. In the National Executive meet on April 15-16, Modi had asked all leaders, including Union Ministers  to spare at least 15 days for organisation’s work.
