“Chidambaram had made fun of me earlier also. He was born in a rich family, so he will not understand even small time pakoda sellers are also industrious people”, Shah said in a reference to an earlier controversy that the BJP Government had funded small time pakoda sellers through Mudra loans.

He said under the Mudra scheme the BJP Government had granted financial  assistance to nine crore youth and also ensured that poor women get subsidised lPG connection. The BJP Chief said the Congress has hardly done anything for the Dalits, OBCs and tribals.

Amit Shah’s jibe at Chidambaram is to woo Tamil Speaking population  at Shivaji Nagar constituency in the city. BJP has fielded former Minister and senior party leader Katta Subramanya Naidu for Shivajinagar, which is now being represented by Karnataka Minister Roshan Baig.

Shah said, “We have won elections in 14 states since 2014. Now the elections are due in the 15th state of Karnataka. Any guess what will happenIJ,” he asked and the workers responded, shouting “BJP (will win).”         “It’s not an ordinary election. It is our grand entry in South India,” Shah said

Highlighting the importance of booth level workers and Shakti Kendra chiefs, Shah said they are those who actually lead the party to victory.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar  who is poll  in charge of  the state has blasted Congress  on  Supreme Court verdict on Justice BH loya’s mysterious death case, dismissing them as “meaningless”.

He said in Bengaluru   “The Congress can raise any number of questions. They are all meaningless. The fact of the matter is the Supreme Court has rejected the PIl seeking an independent probe into loya’s  death. The court has reaffirmed that Justice loya died of natural death.

Referring to the apex court verdict, Congress spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala had raised 10 questions relating to the case as he criticised the judgment and noted that the issue of criminality can be decided only through a probe.

“The Supreme Court found the PIl politically motivated and hence, it dismissed it, and who was behind these petitionsIJ Congress. It wanted to frame Amit Shah,” he said.

Demanding an apology from Gandhi and Congress for trying to frame Shah and BJP, Javadekar said Congress is resorting to  dirty politics in desperation as it was losing elections in every State.
