Shah: Aim not to change CM but fate of State

Exhorting people to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), party national president Amit Shah said this Assembly election is not aimed at to change Chief Minister but to change the “bhagya” (fate) of Uttar Pradesh.

In a series of public meetings held in western Uttar Pradesh on Sunday he said the State is suffering because of wrong policies of previous Governments which are centered on caste and corruption. “If you want to change the “bhagya” of Uttar Pradesh the political parties will have to talk about development and only BJP can usher in development in UP,” he said.

“Therefore, keep it in mind when you go to poll that this election is not for changing Government or Chief Minister but to change the “bhagya” of this State which is store house of natural resources,” Shah said. He addressed three public meetings at Shamli, Noida and Amroha.

Taking a jibe at the Congress and Samajwadi  Party alliance, he said two shahzadas are campaigning together and look at misfortune both have lost faith of people. “This is an opportunistic alliance. Both the parties know that cannot match BJP therefore both have come together as a support group,” he said.

Shah added for the last 15 years, the SP and the BSP have ruled Uttar Pradesh.

“These Governments have not only destroyed its resources but have also damaged its reputation. At one time UP was the top State of India and now it is a topper from the bottom,” he said.
