Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah Maharashtra as their personal “ATM”, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said here on Friday that the two senior BJP were desperately trying to render the state “bankrupt”
Speaking at the joint rally of the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Patole said: “ The ruling BJP has earned money through corruption. Two leaders sitting in Delhi are looting Maharashtra by treating it as their personal ATM.
Now, they are trying to bankrupt Maharashtra. We will defeat the BJP alliance in the Assembly polls and shut down Modi and Shah's ATM permanently, and use the state's money for its people”.
Patole further said that in a democracy, the Leader of the Opposition (LOP) held an important position.
“The ruling party and the opposition are the two wheels of democracy, but during the Independence Day program, LOP Rahul Gandhi was not given due respect. This amounts to the murder of democracy.
