A senior lok Sabha member created a mild flutter in the BJP parliamentary party meeting here on Tuesday claiming the variation in party’s strategy for the two Houses of Parliament was leading to confusion.
The MP claimed that the BJP in the Rajya Sabha was allowing Government business to take place, while the party in the lok Sabha was blocking it. He also pointed out that Government was able to get through some of its bills in the Upper House while the BJP was not allowing it to happen in the lok Sabha.
A senior BJP MP from Rajya Sabha countered it saying the situation in the two Houses were quite different. He also pointed out that a strong Telangana protest has held the lok Sabha to ransom while in the Rajya Sabha it has almost fizzled out.
The leader from Rajya Sabha claimed BJP has been able to make Government concede to the Opposition in the Upper House and has agreed to discuss issues only when its demands have been met.
