Senior BJP leader, RSS member and former Union Minister A Narendra passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. He died at Care Hospital.
Narendra was the most senior leader of the BJP in the State who played a crucial role in strengthening the party in Hyderabad and surrounding areas. An active member of RSS, Narendra had quit the BJP at one point to join the Telangana Rashtra Samiti to fight for a separate Telagnana State. He was elected to lok Sabha from Medak as a BJP candidate in 1999. Unhappy over not being inducted in the Vajpaee Ministry and the NDA Government, Narendra left BJP and formed his Telangana Sadhana Samiti. later he had merged with the TRS.
