Sena anxious about PM Modi making conspiracy remark

Published on:

Alluding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remark that a conspiracy was being hatched to destabilise his Government, the Shiv Sena on Tuesday wondered if India would remain stable under the current circumstances, given that there was no let up in the Pak-sponsored terrorist activities, the presence of “anti-national elements” on JNU campus and the violent Jat reservation agitation.

In an editorial published in  Saamana, the Sena sought to look at Modi’s “conspiracy” remark in the context of various events that have been place during the recent weeks, including the Phatankot attack, continued terror acts in Kashmir, the developments in the JNU camps and the Jat reservation protests.

“While we wish the Modi Government to remain stable and run eternally, our serious concern today is whether India will remain stable in the face of various events. Governments come and go. But, let’s work towards making the country stable”. Paying a backhanded compliment to Modi for making a mention of the Government, the editorial said, “In Odisha, Modi said attempts are being made to destabilise the NDA Government. We are happy that he at least spoke about NDA”.
