Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and other affiliated Hindu organisations have focused their attention on the situation arising out of Congress’ decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and consequent agitation in Seemandhra regions, which has completed 50 days. Top leaders of RSS, VHP and other affiliates of the Sangh Parivar separately met the BJP leaders of Seemandhra and Telangana regions to have a first-hand assessment of the situation and  their respective positions.

While in the meeting held in Vijayawada, BJP leaders from Andhra region impressed upon the Sangh Parivar to ensure that no injustice was done to their region as a result of bifurcation. In Hyderabad, the meeting with Telangana BJP leaders saw RSS leaders urging the party not to make any statement which can hurt the feeling of Seemandhra people. National RSS leaders including Dattatreya Hosabale, Ram Madhav and KC Kannan were among those who interacted with the BJP leaders to explore a way out from the present situation in which the BJP was facing a hostile reaction from Seema-Andhra people for its pro-Telangana stand.
