In a balanced judgment, the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team comprising members from Central Bureau of Investigation and Bengal Police to investigate the Sandeshkhali attack case.
Early this month hundreds of supporters of local Trinamool Congress toughie Shahjehan Sheikh had attacked the members of Enforcement Directorate and CAPF when they went to raid his house at Sarberia in Sandeshkhali block in North 24 Parganas in connection with Rs 10 thousand crore ration scam.
